Angie is a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu® practitioner and Reiki Master. She learned Reiki in 2004 and began studying Jin Shin Jyutsu® in 2005. Prior to her alternative healing journey, Angie earned her Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1991 and worked in the field for several years.
In 2004 she was working as a chemist in a Research and Development lab when she was introduced to Reiki and Jin Shin Jyutsu®, receiving her first healing sessions. This was when she learned that in order to heal one’s physical, emotional and mental state, one must treat the body as a whole and not only the part that is hurt.
Experiencing firsthand the beneficial healing effects of Reiki and Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Angie dedicated herself to studying these alternative healing modalities.
In 2006 she left her career in chemical engineering to start her holistic practice, Harmony Through Hands, and has been helping people and their furry friends ever since.
Angie continues to take Jin Shin Jyutsu® classes every year since 2005 to expand her knowledge and understanding of this beautiful healing art. Through everyday practice and continuous studying, Angie has come to understand that Reiki and Jin shin Jyutsu are tools we can use to help ourselves and others. They raise our awareness and lead us to realize that each of us has the innate wisdom and ability to improve our health and be a harmonious whole being.
Angie has regularly volunteered at Regional Cancer Center in Frederick, MD, since 2007 to provide Reiki sessions to the cancer patients, their caregivers, and staff.
She has also studied Feng Shui and Numerology, and is a student of T'ai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga and meditation.
“I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to fulfill my childhood dream of helping others, doing work I truly love, all the while experiencing an immense amount of personal growth and positive change” - Angie.
